Purchased a 2025 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport from James Cooper. The sales experience was excellent—James was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I wanted to leave a review of our most recent interaction this past Tuesday which was May 13th 2025.
I had set an appointment to go to the dealership which was nearly an hour and a half away from where I live, but when I got there Scott greeted us at the door and took us in for our appointment for a 2022 Ford Escape PHEV to test drive the vehicle for a possible sale.
Scott did an amazing job of quickly getting us to test drive the vehicle and letting myself and my fiance to test drive the car to see if we would like it. After going over the possible finances, we elected to purchase the car and trade in my Mazda, while it was below the KBB Value, I was willing to still make a deal. It did take nearly 3-4 hours for us to get the vehicle, but Scott and Johnny (the Financial advisor) helped us get through it.
In terms of the fees/add ons (not including tax or registration) it was a total of nearly $3,500 which is pretty steep, granted I was willing to bite this as the car I purchased was a great find and I can pay this off, but for others I would recommend to be aware before purchase.
Overall, I would do business with them again and I would recommend Scott as your salesperson!

I love DCH Kay Honda in eatontown. The staff is great, the prices are reasonable and taking it here makes me feel better about whatever is going on with my car because I know they'll fix it correctly. Plus they have some great coupons on their site for services. Definitely recommend.

Mickey Hughes and the team got me in quickly, assessed the problem, and fixed my car. Tires are all set now. And the staff there is super friendly.

Although the car was done quickly. I have a couple of issues. A couple of other dealerships I have used in the past, group some items together and you get some discounted items or at least the cost is not full price. I spent over $800.00 and then an additional amount on a battery for a fob! I had a battery on a fob replaced. When I returned home, the other fob needed a battery. Maybe check them both, before saying the car is ready. I spent over $800.00 and not one coupon or discount was available or offered!
Have purchased several cars here and service my cars here for years! We will continue
The lengths they went through to make me and daughter happy were really remarkable. I believe we got the the best deal and I never felt any pressure. John Obourn, the finance guy was awesome. He made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely do business with DCH Kay Honda in the future.

Our sales representative, Alex Perez, was an incredible quarterback throughout this process. He greeted us immediately, sat us down and in a very professional and relaxed manner, listened to our needs and wants. He then walked us through the lot, showing us vehicle alternatives that might work. He had knowledge of each vehicle and, importantly, when he was unsure of an answer, stated so and then secured the correct response. Alex then helped us test drive those vehicles we were considering and again, answered more of our questions as we went. Upon returning to the dealership, we sat to structure a deal. No pressure, no hype. Alex genuinely wanted us to be fully satisfied. We negotiated a bit; I was able to happily get a price that really worked for us in a no pressure to buy manner.
Upon concluding with the sales aspect Alex brought us to Ray in financing (where he stayed with us through the entire process!).
Ray was another stellar member of the RCH Kay Honda team. He took the time to explain each step and associated document. We asked questions, got true answers and easily completed the required paperwork. Upon coming home, we decided to make some changes to our financing options. Because we live an hour away from the dealer, Ray worked with us to facilitate these changes remotely. Easy.
Then the kicker. We were unable to make arrangements to drive the vehicle back home that day. We were scrambling for a second driver to return with me to pick the car up. NO PROBLEM…our sales rep ALEX to the rescue. He drove the car an hour(one way) to our destination and dropped it off!! Where, once again to be certain, he went over the car to make sure we fully understood.
What a great buying experience. If considering a Honda, THIS is the dealership.

Tiffany in the service department is a 5 star employee. She took care of two issues we had with the used Mini Cooper we bought from DCH right away. She kept us informed of the progress and had us back on the road in no time.
I was told I needed an alignment and that it was critical. I had just had the car aligned elsewhere, so I took it back there and they said it was barely out. Frustrated that it was listed as critical when it was barely out.
