Honda Real Time AWD™ is able to sense a loss of traction, divert the correct amount of power, and switch traction modes within seconds to ensure you continue to drive safely on Freehold roads. Honda Real Time AWD™ with Intelligent Control System is found on a front-wheel-drive vehicle paired with a rear differential. If your Honda senses that it’s losing traction on one or a few of its wheels, this system will engage the rear differential with the multi-plate clutch system. Once the rear wheels are engaged, the vehicle will be operating in AWD mode.
